I loved this session so much I’m hoping the Rogers want family pictures multiple times a year. I have 2 sisters of my own and know that I would have acted a fool in the background if they were trying to have their pictures taken when we were growing up. In an attempt to spare sweet Dela, Maya, and Chloe from such sisterly pestering I wisely snuck off with each girl for individual pictures. I never stopped talking while the shutter was snapping and you can see why it was so easy for me to pour on the compliments. Those eyes! That hair! Thanks for making my job so much… Keep Reading
This is a family that makes every minute count. Zero social media and very little screen time happens in their home. If the way they played, explored, and laughed together is a reflection of the lack of screens then we all need to put our phones down. This was a really fun shoot!
It’s easy to spot adoring parents and I’d say I found some. Chris and Ashley couldn’t peel their eyes away from baby Will which made for some sweet pictures that hopefully captured their deep love and joy. I have to admit that it’s a toss up who I liked seeing interact with baby Will more; his adoring parents or Chloe the dog. She was cracking me up with her delicacy and curiosity toward the tiny new member of the family.
Sometimes it is easy to spot great parents even before their baby is in their arms. Cody and Madison will be welcoming their baby girl in the next couple weeks—what a precious time for them as they transition from a family of 2 to a family of 3. And, what an honor to take pictures of one of the most stunning pregnant women I’ve ever seen!
This family lives in a beautiful part of historic Charlotte on a tree lined street in a home with lots of character. Southern charm spilled out of each of the six members of this adorable clan. Big bow: check. Smocking: check. Manners and graciousness: check. Newborn sessions are unique because they have a slow and gentle pace which gives us lots of time to connect and chat. It was a sweet way to spend a Saturday morning.
This was my very first newborn session and I am hooked. It was so fun finally putting all I have learned about newborn photography into practice. Zoe could have not been more adorable or more perfectly tempered. But honestly, even if it did take extra work to get her to sleep I would not have minded. Being with her and her parents in these precious first days of life was a gift.
Sign me up for a million more sessions that include red hair and horse pastures. That, coupled with a family that knows how to have a good time together made for an awesome shoot. I had to do very little “directing” and was able to just watch them play. It’s hard to even tell that it was nearly 100 degrees outside. 🙂 They are a closely bonded clan which was easy to see by the way they were so hands on with one another. Lots of kisses, bright eyes, and playful games of chase. Loved my time with them!!
I adored my time with this sweet family. They recently moved into their new home and I loved capturing what life looks like in their new yard. These brothers are wild and fun and are also being raised as little southern gentlemen. A perfectly adorable balance.
